I'm going to break down what this rate drop means for you and a Bank of Canada interest rate forecast of what I think is going to happen in the next while. Will MORTGAGE Rates Go DOWN in 2024 in Canada?  MY PREDICTIONS! We are pleased to announce this week's New Video! On July 24th, the Bank of Canada lowered their overnight rate by 0.25% for the second time this year. Our last video, " Bank of Canada Overnight Rate Drop " (#91) asked the question "Did Mortgages Go Down?" In that video I explained what actually happened to the Canadian borrowing mortgage rates when the BOC overnight rates dropped. Our next Bank of Canada announcement will be in September.  I am going to give you my predictions on whether or not there will be further mortgage rate reductions in 2024 and explain why I think this. On July 24th the Bank of Canada Overnight Rate dropped, For the second time this year, the Bank of Canada has dropped their overnight rate by .25% down to 4.5%. So, what does this all mean? Are mortgage rates going to come down? How come the posted mortgage rates did not seem to come down when the June 6 drop of .25 happened? Hi Everyone, As many of you know, Rosemary Tulett, my wife and previous real estate partner has retired from her work after (almost) 9 years as a Realtor® with DFH Real Estate Ltd. at the end of December 2023. She has now taken on parttime duties helping me out as my Registered Unlicensed Assistant.
